Bio


I am a biologist with experience in neuroscience preclinical research. I received my Undergraduate degree in Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in 2014, and my Master's degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine (UCM) in 2015. In 2021, I defended my PhD thesis entitled Preclinical molecular neuroimaging in Deep Brain Stimulation in the Biomedical Research PhD Program at the same university.

Since 2013, I work in the Preclinical Neuroimaging Group, led by Dr. Mª Luisa Soto Montenegro, first as an undergraduate student and now as a PhD researcher. My work is mainly focused on the evaluation of preventive and therapeutic treatments (such as deep brain stimulation or several drugs), in animal models of schizophrenia and addiction, using neuroimaging techniques (PET, CT, MRI) and behavioural tests. In addition, I am a member of the CIBER Consortium for the Thematic Area of Mental Health (CIBERSAM) of the ISCIII and the European Society of Molecular Imaging (ESMI).
