Javier Lanillos Manchón

Bio

I finished my Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering at UC3M (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) in July 2015. I am currently working at the Laboratorio de Imagen Médica y Cirugía Experimental (Hospital Gregorio Marañón de Madrid) with the Biomedical Imaging and Instrumentation Group (BiiG) as granted research assistant.

My work is related to the development of confocal imaging protocols as a tool to study cell mechanics, in collaboration with other research groups into a national project about understanding Cancer Cell Mechanics. One well known approach is the use of Traction Force Microscopy (TFM) analysis.
