Bio
Isabel finished her Chemistry Degree in Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2015 and received her MSc in Advanced Therapies and Biotechnological Innovation from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in 2017. Her work during this time involved the synthesis and characterization of biopolymers and macromolecules for medical devices as well as the synthesis and functionalization of gold nanoparticles as nanocarries for drug delivery, including an internship in the Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany).
In June 2017, she joined the Biomedical Imaging and Instrumentation Group at the Hospital Gregorio Marañon (Madrid, Spain), where she has started her PhD thesis based on the evaluation of milk exosomes as natural nanoplatforms for biomedical imaging and therapy. Moreover, she actively participates in the design of new radiotracers for diagnosis by nuclear imaging, especially in the field of infectious diseases.
