Bio
Manuel Concepción Brito obtained his Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in July 2018. During his studies, he was awarded by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with two scholarships to study abroad. The first one to study at Northeastern University (Boston, USA) during the 2016-2017 academic year. The second one to study at Queensland University of Technology during the second semester of the 2018 academic year.
Apart from his studies, Manuel worked during the summer of 2017 as a research trainee at Brigham and Women's Hospital (Boston, USA) where he developed a project based in the use of deep learning algorithms to automatically detect pulmonary diseases. He joined the Biomedical Imaging and Instrumentation Group (BiiG) in October 2018 where he is working in projects to exploit the uses of deep learning in the medical field.
