Bio
Laura López finished the Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in October 2017.
She did a 3-month internship at image group of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, in the IT department (2016), and during the academic year 2016-2017 she made her bachelor thesis in the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. The project was titled "Optimization of a Windkessel System for Arterial Simulation", supervised by Manuel Desco (Ph.D).
She joined the Medical Imaging Laboratory at Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón in January 2018, where is involved in the research of new X-ray techniques and systems.
Laura is interested in medical imaging & diagnostics, medical physics and image-guided surgery fields, among others.
